Name and type of the school: This information that you are about to read is all related to a primary school in the Perth Metropolitan Area of Western Australia. The name of the school is Mount Pleasant Primary School. It is located less than one kilometre from the Swan River and the suburb is a well established one. Last year the school had its fiftieth anniversary.

Address:

Web address: Our school doesn’t have its own web address but you can find out about us on this address: www.eddept.edu.au

No of teachers: There are sixteen teachers in our school and there are also lots of helpers in our school

Total age of teachers: The total age of the teachers in our school is 685 years

Most popular subjects: We think that the most popular subject at our school is art. During art you can create interesting things and try something new. At our school we have a room especially designed for art activities. The second most popular subject is sport because at sport you can get outside with your friends and have fun. The third most popular subject is music. Some of the boys don't like singing very much. Some of the students at our school learn how to play the cello, violin and the viola. A special music teacher comes to our school to teach these students.

What is the school famous or known for (for more modest ones:) Our school has a reputation for being pleasant. It has very friendly and kind students. There is a feeling of harmony in the school.

Does the school have any geniuses (Rich says it should be genii) and what in?In our school, everyone is a genius in their own way. From year five, students are selected to participate in the PEAC program. PEAC stands for Primary Extension and Challenge. Children attend PEAC courses at other schools and these courses assist students to develop their problem solving skills.

Unusual lessons: One of the unusual things that we do in our school is Tai Chi. This year we learnt the lotus form and next year we are going to learn the beginners form. We also do EDU- Dance . Every class is learning a dance and we will put on a big concert for our parents. The children in our class are learning Grease Lightning. It's real cool
