BLOGLET ONE - May 2006
Hi everybody. My name is Teddy. Ev and Richard found me on a street in Fremantle in Australia and then they let me travel with them. This is my first blog. We are in New Zealand. It is a country made up of two islands. At the moment we are in the South Island and on the East Coast. I started my journey by seeing how many other animals I could find. My first friend was a cat called Solstice. Cats are pets and usually live with people too.
Then, when we were driving along the roads, I saw other animals. They all lived in fields. I saw some cows that lived on a field right next to the sea. Then I saw some sheep. The fields are owned by people and are called farms. Cows and sheep are farm animals. Cows can give milk and also beef for food. Milk can be made into other foods too like cheese and butter. Sheep have woolly coats to keep them warm and the wool can be used for making clothes and things. Lamb is the meat that we eat from sheep. The cows and sheep were bigger than my friend Solstice. He was quite small but I was smaller. The cows were the biggest animals I have seen so far. Maybe you could see who is the tallest of your friends and who is the smallest. That could be fun and I bet no-one is as small as I am.
